Can't say enough great things about the original and creative designs Make has always come up with on my projects. I have been working with Bill and Matt for 25 plus years now and they always surprise me. I hired Make Architecture to design a hotel in Echo Park and they really out did themselves. Not only is the exterior beautiful but the all-important floor plans were dialed in with restaurants, bars, lounges, a jump lobby and a fantastic pool deck.
Make also keeps the project moving through the course of construction by keeping on top of submittals and RFIs. They don't slow down the GC!

We are currently working with Bill and Gaurav on our very first ever ground up construction project. This is an 8,000sqft commercial office that we designed to give more of a collaborative and open, yet elevated and design forward feel. We noted, this should not feel like an office, but a place you want to collaborate in. Think of a young and posh hotel lobby meets soho house vibe.
As a customer we provided an ambitious mood board that needed architectural knowledge to cohesively pull in all the elements that considered design, functionality, and lastly budget. It is easy to be overly ambitious with a certain budget. However, The Make team completely exceeded our expectation and nailed it with the first pass over of the 3D rendering.
With limited knowledge, we were also amazed at the speed in which the renderings were provided. They were in full detail and did not look like a "first draft" but as if we had dozens of meetings to reach this level. The first time I saw the renderings, I became emotional and knew our choice to take on this project was the right decision. And that is thanks to Bill and Gaurav for helping that vision come to life. Truly, the level of detail, design knowledge, and ability to bring flare to functional elements has been inspiring.
Bill and Gaurav have been nothing short of amazing in all areas of design, education, transparency, and also revisions. The idea of the project seemed overwhelming as we began interviewing different architecture firms, but the processes has been so smooth and enriching. I’ve had the pleasure of working with MAKE architects Bill Beuter and Bryan Kobe for about 4 months. The project is a large historic commercial type property with complications due to the age of the building (1911), size (33,000+ square feet) and a multitude of influences within the organization that make it seem overwhelming at times. Bill & Bryan are quick to turn projects around, they take on a level of ownership that helps instill confidence within the building committee, they are very responsive, they always remain professional (in instances when most people wouldn’t be able to) and they produce top quality work. I discovered MAKE after having worked with other firms and then reaching out to and interviewing approximately 5 different prospective architectural firms for my following engagement. During the process, Bill at MAKE came across as the most professional and knowledgeable on top of having the most client-centric approach. I've now worked with Bill and the team for architectural work on two new restaurant builds, each being very different. Bill is truly a professional with a vast amount of knowledge on restaurant builds -- everything from building/zoning codes to design/layout to bidding to interaction/correspondence between key parties to the permitting/approval process. Additionally, he is very responsive and never made me feel like I am imposing on him if I wanted to run an idea by him or make any last minute changes. I am very pleased to have been able to rely on Bill to interact with the other engineers as well as the contractors to hold everyone accountable, ensure that the sequencing of the project is appropriate, and most importantly, to strive to achieve full completion of my restaurants within a reasonable amount of time. MAKE's pricing is fair at the onset, and they don't attempt to devise a way to upcharge you while you're in the midst of the project. In fact, they do a great job with thinking outside the box on ways to reduce buildout costs. I intend on using Bill and MAKE for all of my future buildouts. I strongly recommend them.
